Our Mission
Our mission at Powdermen Spirits is simple – craft a distinct spirit grounded in local soil and small-batch craft. We carve out a niche by honoring locally grown heirloom grains and hands‑on distillation, keeping production intentionally human scale so every barrel reflects place, purpose, and uncompromising quality. Our work is to make a whiskey that tastes of our community, rewards curiosity, and stands apart because we care more about spirit than scale.
Powdermen Spirits is our Purpose
The name Powdermen Spirits is symbolic – Each one of our bottles purposefully represents the spirit of those individuals who contributed to Frank Lucca’s dream of owning & operating a distillery. The father/son duo of Frank and Vince’s purpose is to build a business & family legacy that shares a small piece of the rich history of the Powdermen from the US & around the world, and honor those Powdermen who are no longer with us today.
Blending Science, Engineering, & Tradition
At Powdermen Spirits, we take pride in making whiskey & spirits the “old fashion way” in a style that is truly pre-Prohibition – while we also embrace the advances in science and engineering available to us.
